If you are still surfing the digital pipe with Internet explorer 6.0 or waiting for the boondoggle that is IE 7.0 then my friend I beg you to lend a ear for a bit cause your missing out big time!

Well 56k I say scrap it and swap that Edsel for a Hemi based Firefox browser its mean lean and can render the latest CSS and HTML without a problem. It also is safer, faster & runs smoother, that’s just the start though. It’s the after market items that make this browser cherry.

The following are must haves for any user to surf with style. These after market add on’s are called extensions just so you know

1. You gotz to know the weather if you gonna surf with the top down.

This is the rims of a good browser, shows you the local weather info & a regional radar all in a graphical format that easily sits in the lower right hand corner of your browser.
You can add the option for the 4 day forecast and know exactly how things are in the place you never go……. outside.

See the little blue ribbon that is called ReminderFOX and its worth its weight in digital gold. It keeps all your dates and meetings organized right under your nose. Its has an alarm system built in and works with Ical based calendar files for easy importing. Its hassle free and you wont miss that conference call to find out what color the boss’ new boat is and what he should call it.

3. If you really like that old Edsel engine you can still have it.

See the blue IE icon you can use it to run any site under the Internet Explorer engine without a problem just incase your company makes it mandatory or you just owe Bill a favor.

4. This monkey can make images pop! Throws them around as easily as poo.

The happy monkey face can run too many scripts to count but my favorite is called lightbox since it will load a image from a hyperlink without having to change the page. You click and it puts a dark transparency over the current page and shows you your image. One click and your right back to the same page you were on no reloading.

5. I got’s to know when the Tokyo Stock Exchange opens and what time it is in Rome!

When you have to know what time it is anywhere on the globe you just put your mouse over this little line and it will show you however many preset cities local real time as you want. It’s like a guy selling Rolexs on the street corner just safer.

6. Use a Color drop to match that two-tone paint color.

The little eye dropper can grab any hex color code off any site so that you can know exactly how yellow that tea cozy is on Ebay is before you buy.

7. Multiple browsers all in one browser, its so good it sounds indecent and must be illegal.

See multiple “tabs” or browsers all in one window, never clutter up your desktop again and this one is built into Firefox without the need for extras! if you want to see all the tabs open in one window though you need to get FoxPose this extension will open them all up and let you see what you have in front of you and click the one you want to view alone. Fill it with 20 open windows if your memory will allow.

8. See iHudgens.com as it was meant to be see, in THX sound and Scope.

If all you have ever seen is iHudgens.com in IE 6.0 you haven’t seen the best side. Heck you can even see it in a reskined browser since Firefox has the option to reskin it however you want. Make it look anyway you wish.
